C4ADS prioritizes hiring through its internship program. Direct hiring opportunities are posted infrequently. We look for the following qualities in our interns and analysts:
We do not adhere to strict application criterion but applicants are generally recent graduates or currently enrolled in a Master's program with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Prior work experience in foreign policy research, GIS, network link analysis, programming, statistics or finance is strongly preferred.
Foreign language fluency and overseas experience are highly valued and regularly incorporated into analysis. We currently prioritize: Arabic, Mandarin, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
We look for innovative thinkers who can apply new methodologies to complex global security challenges. We value individuals who have demonstrated critical thinking in their past work, as well as flexibility in learning from past mistakes and adapting to new challenges.
We succeed when employees are inherently motivated to create real impact through their work. We look for self-starters who can work both independently and as part of a team, with minimal guidance.
