Michael enjoys studying Nahuatl (the language of the Aztecs and their descendants), but he's not very good at it! One day, he hopes he can read poetry in the language.

Michael Di Girolamo is an analyst on the Human Security program at C4ADS, where he focuses on cybercrime and the criminal misuse of emerging technologies, particularly in the global scam industry. He also leads the team’s Myanmar efforts, where he investigates the transnational enabler networks fueling the Myanmar conflict. Michael is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), having received his MA in international relations from SAIS’s DC campus and a Certificate in Chinese & American Studies from the Hopkins-Nanjing Center. He is also a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky, where he majored in Chinese and international economics.
