Ellen Tyra
As an analyst on the Wildlife Crime Program at C4ADS, Ellen provides analytical and investigative support to a network of partner organizations in sub-Saharan Africa, manages the C4ADS Wildlife Seizure Database, and is the project manager of the C4ADS Wildlife Seizure Dashboard.
Prior to becoming a Wildlife Crime Analyst, Ellen worked as a consultant for C4ADS. In this role, she managed seizure databases for two projects related to the disruption of illicit transnational narcotics trafficking networks.
Before coming to C4ADS, Ellen served as a consular section intern with the U.S. Embassy in Myanmar, produced analysis on illicit wildlife trafficking as a virtual intern with the U.S. Embassy in Malaysia, and engaged in private-sector internships in France and Myanmar.
Ellen earned her undergraduate degree in International Studies and French from Centre College and her Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh.
