Krista Rasmussen
Krista is a Program Director for the Natural Resource Security team at C4ADS where she leads research portfolios on IUU (illegal, unreported, and unregulated) fishing, illegal logging, and illegal mining.
Prior to joining C4ADS, she worked as an Officer of Policy Planning at the United Nations Foundation where she worked on policy issues across the organization and identified new trends and opportunities for the Foundation to advance its mission. Before that, she was a researcher in the Global Economy and Development program at the Brookings Institution, taught English in Indonesia and Japan, and worked for the Wisconsin state government. She has expertise in assessing global economic and social data, with a particular focus on sustainable development, bilateral and multilateral financing, food security, and the Pacific Islands. Her work has been published in World Development, The BMJ, and Global Policy Journal. She has a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s of Global Policy Studies from the LBJ School of Public Policy.
