Mary is less than two months older than her horse, who is aging like a fine wine and not at all grumpy, as some have incorrectly claimed
As the Program Director for the Natural Resources Program, Mary manages C4ADS’ IUU (illegal, unreported, and unregulated) fishing, illegal logging, and illegal mining portfolios. Mary previously worked on or managed C4ADS’ illegal wildlife, narcotics, and corruption portfolios. She is the author or co-author of five C4ADS reports, and has briefed officials at the U.S. Departments of State, Justice, Treasury, Homeland Security, and Defense, as well as private sector audiences.
Prior to her work at C4ADS, Mary wrote for the Diplomatic Courier and the U.S. Army’s Training Brain Operations Center (TBOC). Mary received degrees in International Relations and Accounting from the College of William & Mary, with concentrations in Hispanic Studies and Economics.
In her free time, Mary enjoys reading, horseback riding, and spending time with her many pets and friends (in that order).
