Mandarin (advanced), Spanish (intermediate), Japanese (basic) Mike is an analyst and conservationist currently working to fight illicit wildlife trafficking on the Wildlife Crime Program at C4ADS. He is geographically specialized in China and the greater Asia-Pacific and, increasingly, Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to C4ADS, Mike worked in trade & investment policy for the governments of the Republic of Fiji and the city of Shenzhen, China, then later in tourism & protected area management and as a wildlife guide in southwestern China.
Mike grew up in Los Angeles and studied economics and conservation biology at UCLA.
