Sara worked as a wedding DJ for 12 years. Languages
American Sign Language, French, Persian Sara works as the Analytical Impact Manager at C4ADS. She obtained her B.A. in French and francophone studies from the University of Michigan in 2010. After graduating, she taught English in Rouen, Normandy for four years, obtaining her master’s degree at the Université de Rouen in area studies with a linguistics and translation focus.
Upon returning to the US in 2014, she began studying Persian and sign language interpreting while working at the Social Security Administration, obtaining ASL interpreting certification and the Critical Language Scholarship in 2017. She has since freelanced with Human Rights Activists in Iran and the Abdorrahman Boroumand Center, and interpreted in community, medical, and higher-education settings.
