As Portfolio Manager on the State-Sponsored Threats team, Tim oversees analysis of malign influence operations conducted by Russia, China and Iran. He started at C4ADS as an Iran analyst, specializing in the study of the Iranian ballistic missile and nuclear programs, offensive cyber operations and cross-border financial networks.

Before coming to C4ADS, Tim worked as a political risk analyst at the firm Signum Global Advisors, a Middle East analyst at the business intelligence firm Ergo, and as Vice President of Business Development at an educational firm called The VIEW. He also previously interned as an Arabic translator at the UN and an analyst at a macro hedge fund, and has published analysis on Iranian foreign policy in outlets such as Bourse and Bazaar.

Tim received his Bachelor’s in Near Eastern Studies from Harvard University and his Master’s in International Relations from the University of Cambridge.
