C4ADS Wins Elastic 2023 Excellence Cause Award
C4ADS received the Cause Award at the 2023 Elastic Excellence Awards for our innovative use of Elasticsearch in combating illicit activities worldwide, as recognized during the ElasticON event in NYC on March 26th, 2024.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — C4ADS, a global security nonprofit that works to defeat illicit networks, today announced it was named a winner of the 2023 Elastic Excellence Cause Award. The award was presented during the 2024 ElasticON New York on March 26, 2024.
“C4ADS is honored to be a recipient of the Cause Award,” said William Gibson, Software Program Director at C4ADS. “Without the capabilities of Elasticsearch, our partners would not be able to comprehensively search the diverse datasets within our product to extract valuable insights crucial for combating illicit activities globally.”
The Elastic Excellence Awards celebrate organizations and individuals demonstrating ingenuity and resilience by pushing the limits of data search, observability, and security with groundbreaking implementations. Award recipients were recognized for demonstrating results and value within their organizations through their Elastic-based use cases.
The Cause Award recognizes organizations addressing social and humanitarian challenges for the betterment of the world. C4ADS has been at the forefront of developing state-of-the-art software solutions, such as a dashboard for monitoring trends in illicit wildlife trafficking and a flight product for analyzing uncensored aircraft data. Leveraging our expertise in data and technology, C4ADS continues to innovate, striving to create new tools and platforms that empower investigators, journalists, and civil society actors in the fight against illicit and malign networks that threaten global peace and security.
This year’s Elastic Excellence Awards fall under six categories: the Cause Award, Business Transformation Award, Solve with Search Award, Innovation Award, Public Sector Award, and Elastic Certified Professional of the Year.
