This event will be the first time the C4ADS Wildlife Seizure Dashboard is demonstrated publicly, offering an in-depth look at how data-driven analysis can shape stakeholder responses to illicit wildlife trafficking.
WHY: Seizure data is the best proxy available for evaluating global patterns in illicit wildlife trafficking. Through the comprehensive collection and analysis of seizure data, it is possible to trace the development of trends, assess the relative significance of different typologies, and develop a more holistic picture of the mechanics of global wildlife trafficking. The C4ADS Wildlife Seizure Dashboard showcases wildlife seizure data and allows users to independently conduct advanced analyses in order to gain a better understanding of the trends present in an otherwise clandestine activity: illicit wildlife trafficking.
